Federal health officials are warning consumers not to eat certain heat-and-eat pasta meals sold at Walmart and Trader Joe’s because they may be contaminated with listeria.
The alert includes Trader Joe’s Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo with best-by dates of September 20, 24, and 27 – and Walmart’s Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs with dates from September 22 through October 1.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) updated its alert to include Trader Joe’s Cajun Style Blackened Chicken Breast Fettuccine Alfredo (16-oz trays) with best-by dates Sept. 20, 24, and 27. Affected packages have the number P-45288 inside the USDA inspection mark.
The warning also covers Walmart’s Marketside Linguine with Beef Meatballs & Marinara Sauce (12-oz trays) with best-by dates Sept. 22-Oct. 1 and establishment numbers EST. 50784 and EST. 47718. Walmart has pulled the meals from stores nationwide.
Walmart has pulled the meals from shelves nationwide. No recall has been issued, but more products may be added to the warning.
