Deer Crash Injures Elkhart Woman on State Road 120

An Elkhart woman was hospitalized after her SUV struck two deer on State Road 120.
According to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened around 5:35 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 31, east of County Road 131. Investigators say a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer was heading east when two deer ran into the roadway.
One deer struck the front of the vehicle, while the other jumped into the windshield, breaking through on impact and landing inside the passenger-side floorboard.
The driver, a 29-year-old Elkhart woman, suffered multiple facial lacerations and was taken to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
