LOGAN launches initiative to expand inclusive childcare for those with complex needs

LOGAN Community Resources, Inc.

LOGAN is launching a major three-year early intervention initiative to expand inclusive childcare for children with complex needs.

Supported by Early Learning Indiana’s Early Years Initiative, Lilly Endowment Inc., and the Asante Foundation, the program places expert therapists directly into childcare centers, ensuring infants and toddlers with disabilities get the services they need.

President and CEO Matt Harington says the effort gives educators specialized training while removing barriers like transportation, insurance and access to diagnoses.

Phase one begins with assessments at 11 childcare sites, followed by integrated therapy services and community-based caregiver groups aimed at helping every child learn, grow, and thrive.

More information can be found on LOGAN’s website.
