(Tommie Lee/MNC)

A man accused of breaking into an Elkhart County church has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and been sentenced.

Zeus Bush was arrested following an April 28 incident at That Church on The Rise on C.R.  4.

Police say an employee discovered Bush inside the church after noticing a broken window and called authorities.

The Goshen News says officers entered the building with a K-9 unit and later located Bush outside.

Court documents say Bush admitted to breaking a window to get inside, claiming he was seeking help for injured feet.

Investigators found signs of rummaging in the kitchen area.

Bush pleaded guilty to criminal trespass and other unrelated charges and was sentenced to one year of probation.
