The Elkhart Police Department is investigating a shooting.

It happened on Monday night, Dec. 22, on Monroe Street, near Middlebury and Prairie streets.

When officers got there, they found a 17-year-old who was shot inside an apartment, and he was taken to a hospital.

Officers later found out an 18-year-old was at a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after he was shot.
