Marcus Freeman is staying at Notre Dame.
The Irish head football coach shut down NFL rumors with a social media post Monday. WSBT confirms Freeman’s contract has been restructured and extended through 2031.
Reports say the new deal puts him among the top-paid coaches in college football, and Freeman told NFL teams he’s staying put.
Notre Dame has gone 24-and-4 over the past two seasons – the best two-year stretch in program history.
