A 19-year-old man is facing multiple felony charges after authorities say he tried to sneak drugs and contraband into Westville Correctional Facility.

Court documents identify the suspect as Halton Duke. He’s charged with Dealing in Methamphetamine, a Level Two felony, and two counts of Trafficking with an Inmate, Level Five felonies. His initial hearing is set for Friday.

Investigators say a shift supervisor spotted Duke along the prison fence line early January 20th and watched him throw two large bags over the fence before crawling out and running.

Authorities followed footprints to a smoke shop on U.S. 421, where Duke was found hiding and taken into custody.
