U.S. Senators Todd Young and Jeanne Shaheen are welcoming a major move by the Trump Administration to strengthen America’s critical minerals supply.

The Administration announced plans to launch a 12-billion-dollar stockpile of critical and rare earth minerals, aimed at stabilizing markets and reducing reliance on China.

Young and Shaheen say the move shows bipartisan momentum behind securing domestic mineral resources.

Senator Young has also proposed additional legislation focused on strengthening and diversifying U.S. critical mineral supply chains.

Shaeen is a Democrat. She might be paying lip service to the idea of this, but I bet she still supports the overly restrictive EPA regulations that strangled our domestic rare earth industry out of existence.

I think the whole idea of them wanting to start a mining operation that may affect one of the very few pristine wilderness areas in our part of the country just stinks! Thought that “The Village Idiot” wanted to steal, buy or work with Greenland for rare earth? They are already mining it so why tear up the Great Lakes Region? They just can’t not keep their hands off stuff. Now Senator Young wants to open up a commission to run the Ohio River. I can’t even begin to dream of what wonderful ideas they will come up to mess up beautiful southern Indian and all of the fantastic recreational possibilities it affords folks. Guess it just doesn’t matter. As long as we “drink the Kool-Aid” and fall in line “The Repubs will make it all better for all of us poor little dummies. All we gotta do is trust ’em folks!
