Two Arrested After Firearms Complaint in Michigan City

Two men were arrested Thursday afternoon following a firearms complaint in Michigan City.
Police said officers responded to the 400 block of Ridgeland Avenue just after 4 p.m. on March 6 after receiving reports of a gun being pointed at someone.
Authorities said they located two suspects identified as 18-year-old Deshannon Driver and 18-year-old Jayden Owens.
Both suspects fled the scene but were later located and taken into custody by police.
Driver was arrested on a charge of resisting law enforcement. Owens faces charges of resisting law enforcement and pointing a firearm.
Police also said Owens had an outstanding warrant for armed robbery resulting in serious bodily injury, battery with a deadly weapon, theft of a firearm and auto theft.
Both men were booked into the LaPorte County Jail.
