An Elkhart County man has been sentenced after a drug investigation in Goshen.

Eugene Troxell was sentenced to 27 years, with 17 years to be served at the Indiana Department of Corrections and 10 years on probation, following a plea agreement for dealing methamphetamine.

Police say Troxell was identified during an investigation in the 61000 block of County Road 127 in October 2025. Officers followed him through Elkhart and St. Joseph counties before stopping a vehicle near the U.S. 20 bypass and U.S. 33.

The Goshen News says a K-9 search led to the discovery of more than 42 grams of meth, along with marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

During sentencing, Troxell told the court he is working to change his life moving forward.
