Man shot in leg in Michigan City, Police seeking information

A 34-year-old man was injured in a shooting in Michigan City.
The Michigan City Police Department responded to a 911 call around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 28, regarding a shooting in the 3000 block of Springland Avenue.
Officers arrived to find the man suffering from a gunshot wound to his left leg. Police provided initial medical care before he was transported by LaPorte County EMS to Franciscan Health Michigan City. Authorities say the injury is not considered life-threatening.
Investigators processed multiple scenes, collected evidence, and interviewed several witnesses. Detectives continue to follow leads, including reviewing surveillance footage and working to identify a suspect or suspects.
Police have not released additional details, citing the ongoing investigation.
