Ivy Alley Social House in downtown South Bend to close May 16

After just a few months in operation, Ivy Alley Social House has announced it will permanently close later this month.

In a Facebook post Saturday, the downtown South Bend business said its final day of operation will be May 16.

The restaurant thanked customers, friends and neighbors for their support since opening in December near Four Winds Field. The business said the decision to close was “heart-wrenching” and invited customers to stop in and say goodbye before the final day.

Ivy Alley Social House is known for its duckpin bowling and brick oven pizza.

The business also announced special discounts leading up to the closure, including 25 percent off regular menu food and drinks, 50 percent off select bottled wine, and 25 percent off merchandise.

Customers with gift cards or My Deals Michiana coupons are encouraged to use them before the restaurant closes.

The business also asked the community to support its staff members during the transition.
