A South Bend tradition reaches a major milestone as the 100th Annual Westside Memorial Day Parade approaches.

This year’s theme, “A Century of Remembrance,” honors the men and women who gave their lives serving the country.

Floats, community groups and marching units are set to travel from beginning at 8:15 a.m on Memorial Day.

Following the parade, a Memorial Mass and service are planned at St. Joseph Cemetery, including military honors and the reading of local veterans’ names.

Free refreshments will be offered afterward at American Legion Post 284 for the community.
