Downtown South Bend, Inc. is bringing back its Summer Fitness Series, offering free outdoor exercise classes every Saturday morning throughout the summer.
The program will take place from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Gridiron in downtown South Bend and is open to people of all ages and fitness levels.
Participants are encouraged to donate canned goods, non-perishable food items, or personal care products during each class. Donations will benefit the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
Organizers say water will be available, but participants should bring their own reusable water bottles. Classes will continue in light rain but will be canceled during severe weather. Updates will be posted on the DTSB Facebook page by 7 a.m. on class days.
There will be no classes on July 4 or August 15 due to holiday and event scheduling.
