Residents will another opportunity, this week, to share concerns and ideas regarding railroad crossing safety in eastern St. Joseph County.
Public listening sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moran Elementary School, at 305 North Beech Road in Osceola.
The meeting is a part of a rail corridor study being conducted by the Michiana Area Council of Governments in partnership with St. Joseph and Elkhart counties.
Transportation officials hope to gather community feedback as they evaluate potential safety upgrades and alternative crossing options throughout the corridor.
MACOG Transportation Director Caitlin Stevens said public input is critical to developing effective solutions that reflect how residents and travelers use the area.
