An Elkhart man is facing child sex abuse material charges following an investigation by the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Elkhart Police say officers received a tip connected to local IP addresses and later served a search warrant at a Wagner Avenue apartment on June 9.

59-year-old Rene Rodriguez was arrested and formally charged with three felony counts, including one Level 5 felony. His bond was set at $100,000.

Rodriguez remains jailed and is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
