A major broadband project connecting Chicago and Benton Harbor is moving forward.
Benton Harbor City Commissioners have approved a 75-year lease agreement with Peninsula Fiber Network for an underwater internet connection running to Jean Klock Park.
The project is being funded with federal dollars and is expected to improve broadband access while lowering costs for residents.
WSBT reports as part of the agreement, city facilities including City Hall, the public library, and the water plant will receive free internet service for seven years.

It’s great that Gov. Braun suspended gas tax. I appreciate gas going for $2.85;a gallon in Warsaw Indiana. Warsaw has lowest gasoline prices in Skate of Indiana.
Thank you President Trump for negotiating peace deal with Iran.
