A former Department of Child Services contractor is facing child sex crime charges in Indiana and Illinois.

Jose Briseno, 60, is jailed in Marion County on charges of child exploitation and possession of child sex abuse material.

He also faces an internet child solicitation charge in Illinois. Indianapolis police began investigating Briseno after Illinois authorities sent a tip about possible child sex crimes.

Court documents say Briseno previously worked as a contractor for Illinois DCFS, where he helped transport children to visitations.

Investigators say Briseno later contacted a 15-year-old girl online and allegedly used a fake identity to convince her to send explicit images.
