An Elkhart County man accused of killing his wife remains on track for trial this fall. 

41-year-old Aaron Michael Williams appeared briefly in Circuit Court this week for a status update.

Prosecutors say Williams called 911 in May, telling dispatchers he wanted to kill himself before allegedly admitting he’d shot his wife in the head.

The Goshen News says she was found dead inside the couple’s home. Williams’ attorney says discovery is nearly complete, and his jury trial remains scheduled to begin October 5.
