Police are investigating after a man’s body was found Sunday afternoon in the Yellow River in Marshall County.

Two kayakers spotted the body around 3 p.m. near the U.S. 31 and U.S. 30 interchange and called 911.

Police have not identified the man. An autopsy is scheduled to determine how he died.

The response closed part of the area and slowed traffic on U.S. 31 for several hours.
