An Elkhart County man has been sentenced after investigators say he engaged in sexually explicit online conversations with someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl.

30-year-old Timothy Bondy was arrested following an investigation involving a predator-hunting group and local police.

Bondy admitted communicating with the decoy through a dating app and sending sexually explicit messages.

The Goshen News says he pleaded guilty to child solicitation and possession of methamphetamine and was sentenced to five years in prison, with the sentences running concurrently.
