A new coffee shop has opened in South Bend’s East Bank Village, with plans to expand into a brewery where customers can help make the beer.

North Flow Beverage Company held its soft opening last week along the St. Joseph River.

The shop currently serves locally roasted coffee from South Bend-based Importin’ Joes.

Owners say the next step is turning the space into a community brewery. They plan to offer brewing classes and let customers brew beer for weddings, special events and other occasions.
