The City of Elkhart is inviting volunteers to help plant 100 trees on Saturday, July 25, from 10 until noon through its Trees for the Hart program.

The event will focus on neighborhoods near Oakdale Drive, Christian Avenue and Southdale Drive.

The city plans to plant more than 2,000 trees by the end of 2027 to expand its urban tree canopy and improve local green spaces.
