Indiana Michigan Power says proactive tree trimming is reducing outages while helping feed animals at the Fort Wayne and Potawatomi zoos.
Since 2021, the utility’s Branch to Browse Program has donated 480 truckloads of branches and leaves for more than 30 animal species.
I&M says tree-related outages have dropped 25 percent overall, including 35 percent in the South Bend area and 41 percent around Fort Wayne.
