The City of South Bend is asking residents for input on plans for a proposed Rum Village Community Center.

A public listening session is set for 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11, at the Rum Village Nature Center on South Gertrude Street.

The proposed center would be operated in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of the Northern Indiana Corridor, which would provide programming at the facility.

City officials envision the center as a space for community use throughout the day, beyond just after-school activities.
