An Elkhart man accused of attempted murder is due back in court this fall.

The Goshen News says 27-year-old Braulio Amezquita is accused of attacking a woman in June, including allegedly suffocating her with a pillow and preventing her from calling 911.

The woman suffered serious injuries, including dissections of both carotid arteries and a risk of stroke.

Amezquita’s jury trial is scheduled for November 30.
