A 49-year-old Elkhart County man will spend 16 years in prison after pleading guilty to aggravated battery.
The Goshen News reports Christopher Edwards was accused of attacking a man at a home in July 2025.
His attorney said Edwards acted impulsively and was under the influence of methamphetamine.
Under a plea agreement, several other charges were dismissed.
Edwards received 14 years for aggravated battery and two additional one-year sentences for invasion of privacy.
