The trial of an Elkhart woman accused of causing a deadly crash while impaired has been postponed.
According to The Goshen News, 30-year-old Angelina Valente is now scheduled for trial January 4th, with a status conference December 10th.
Police say Valente was driving for Uber when she turned into the path of a motorcycle near County Roads 20 and 111 last July.
The motorcycle driver, 55-year-old Franklin Herrington of Elkhart, later died from his injuries.
Police say Valente failed a sobriety test and acknowledged using marijuana and Alprazolam.
