Howe residents charged following infant’s injuries

Two Howe residents are facing felony charges following an investigation into serious injuries sustained by an infant in LaGrange County.
Indiana State Police arrested 20-year-old Spencer Slentz and 19-year-old Paige Barrett after the child was brought to a hospital for treatment last month.
Both Slentz and Barrett face a Level 1 felony charge of neglect of a dependent resulting in catastrophic injury.
State police say the investigation remains ongoing, and no details on the infant’s condition are being released.
