Two people were arrested Tuesday afternoon after a traffic stop in Marcellus Township connected to a breaking-and-entering investigation.
The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team assisted the Cass County Sheriff’s Office after deputies received a report of a breaking and entering around 3 p.m. Investigators were given a description of a suspect vehicle, which was later located in Marcellus Township.
Authorities said a K-9 alerted deputies to possible narcotics in the vehicle. A search reportedly turned up methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
A 31-year-old man was arrested on a methamphetamine possession allegation. A 46-year-old woman was arrested on felony allegations involving possession of stolen property connected to the breaking-and-entering case.
Their names have not been released pending arraignment in 4th District Court.
