Indiana University is establishing a new center focused on brain cancer and neuro-oncology research. 

The Jeff Schwarz Center for Neuro-Oncology Research was created with a ten-million-dollar gift from the Schwarz family, honoring IU alumnus Jeff Schwarz, who died from glioblastoma in 2023.

The IU School of Medicine is contributing another five million dollars.

The center will support research, recruit specialists and work toward developing better treatments for brain cancer patients.
