A crash in LaPorte County has claimed the life of a LaPorte woman.

Deputies say the crash happened Friday afternoon on State Road 2, east of County Road 900 West.

A Kia driven by 60-year-old Ronald Nuest of Medaryville was traveling west when a witness says the vehicle crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound Ford driven by 36-year-old Kayla Roche of LaPorte.

Nuست and an 88-year-old passenger, Elvin Nuest of Francesville, were taken to a regional hospital with injuries.

Roche was also hospitalized, but deputies later learned she died from her injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
