The future of the former Portage Manor could be decided Tuesday.

St. Joseph County Commissioners are scheduled to vote on a proposal to sell the long-vacant property to Saint Thomas More Academy for 400-thousand dollars.

The academy would convert the site into a K-through-12 Catholic school and estimates it would invest about nine-million dollars in renovations.

Commissioners say they have reviewed the proposal and obtained appraisals for the property. The vote is set for 11 a.m. Tuesday.
