The South Shore Line is expanding its Kids Ride Free program during fall break.
From October 15th through the 23rd, up to three children age 13 and younger can ride free with a paying adult on any train.
The program usually applies only to off-peak and weekend service. South Shore officials say the temporary expansion is designed to give families a more affordable way to travel around Northwest Indiana, South Bend and Chicago during fall break.
