A section of Lafayette Boulevard in downtown South Bend will close on Monday, Oct. 12, for roofing work at the St. Joseph County Building.

The closure will run between Jefferson Boulevard and Washington Street and is expected to continue through November ninth.

Drivers will be detoured onto William Street and should watch for signs and possible delays.

County officials say the building will remain open throughout the project, including during early voting.

Accessible parking will remain available along Lafayette Boulevard near the Small Claims Court, with access from Washington Street.
