A Three Rivers, Michigan, woman has been sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison for distributing methamphetamine in northern Indiana.
Audra Sweet, 40, was sentenced Oct. 8 by U.S. District Court Chief Judge Holly A. Brady. Sweet pleaded guilty to distribution of methamphetamine. She received a 130-month prison sentence, followed by five years of supervised release.
U.S. Attorney Adam L. Mildred said Sweet distributed large quantities of methamphetamine across the state line for several months. He said the sentence holds her accountable and reflects the work of local, state and federal agencies to disrupt drug trafficking.
The FBI investigated the case, with assistance from Indiana State Police and the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney Teresa L. Ashcraft prosecuted the case.
