A motorcycle rider was killed in a head-on crash with a semi on U.S. 20 in Kankakee Township.

LaPorte County deputies say the crash happened Thursday morning in the 2300 block of east U.S. 20. Investigators believe the eastbound motorcycle crossed the center line and struck a westbound semi.

The motorcycle rider died at the scene and has not been identified. The motorcycle had been reported stolen in Coloma, Michigan, the day before. The semi driver, a 41-year-old Goshen man, was not hurt. Toxicology results are pending.
