Indianapolis father, son charged in killing, robbery of man

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — An Indianapolis father and son have been charged in the robbery and killing of a man who was found dead in a parking lot with a pillow case over his head and duct tape around his neck.

A news release from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department says 20-year-old Akram Abd and his father, 43-year-old Ziad Abd, have been charged with murder and robbery.

Sixty-two-year-old Mohamed Mahmoud was killed April 21.

WISH-TV reports the man was found with his arms and ankles bound with duct tape. A pillow case covered his head and was duct taped around his neck.

Online court records do not show whether the suspects have attorneys who could comment on their behalf.

They are being held at the Arrestee Processing Center until their next court hearing.
