Gunfire erupts at Fort Wayne home, 9 injured, 1 critically

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) — Fort Wayne police say gunfire that erupted during a disturbance at a home has injured nine people, including one who’s listed in critical condition.

Police said the shootings occurred early Sunday as officers were en route to the home to investigate a disturbance during what appears to have been a party.

Police found six victims at the scene, while three others walked into a local hospital. Five men and four women were injured in the shootings, including a man who’s in critical condition and another person who’s in serious condition. The seven other victims were in good condition.

Police said in a statement they don’t know what sparked the disturbance and have no suspects or persons of interest in the shootings.

No weapons were found at the scene.
