CHICAGO (AP) — Mayor Rahm Emanuel says design plans of a museum proposed on Chicago’s lakefront by movie producer George Lucas are being updated.

Emanuel wouldn’t give details Monday. The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Emanuel says it’s part of the process of finalizing the project. He says there’ll be plenty of accessible green space.

The “Star Wars” creator chose Chicago as host last year. Plans showed a futuristic design.

The project hit snags, including a lawsuit brought by a parks group that didn’t want Lake Michigan land used.

Later legislators fast-tracked a measure allowing Chicago to build museums on park or “formerly submerged” lands. The parks group objected to some proposed sites for President Barack Obama’s museum because of park land use. Obama’s foundation has chosen Chicago’s South Side for the library.
