A man was shot and killed in South Bend on Saturday, May 28.
South Bend Police received a report about shots fired shortly before 2 a.m. in the 500 block of East Broadway, according to a news release from St. Joseph County Metro Homicide.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim, Terrell Eugene Poindexter, 33, suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene, Metro Homicide reported.
The St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.
An autopsy is in the process of being scheduled in Kalamazoo.
