Teenager riding bicycle near Muessel Grove Park was shot by someone he knew, police say

A 19-year-old man shot on Tuesday night, May 24, is expected to survive.

The man was riding his bike on Wilber Street near Muessel Grove Park in South Bend at about 6:30 p.m. when he was shot by someone he knew, our news partners ABC 57 reported.

He underwent emergency surgery Tuesday night.

Police have not released information about a suspect or any arrests.
