Fire destroys South Bend home on Tuesday morning

A home was destroyed but nobody was injured in a massive house fire northwest of South Bend on Tuesday morning, Feb. 2.

The fire started in the garage of the home in the 23000 block of Allerton Drive in South Bend and spread to the main part of the house, according to our news partners ABC 57.

Much of the roof was burnt to a crisp and the front of the house also sustained heavy damage.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
