Police: Minor injuries after shots fired resulted in a car crash in Goshen

Two people suffered minor injuries after a car crash that happened after shots were fired at the car by another vehicle.

It happened around 8:20 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 8 along Briarwood Blvd. according to a news release from the Goshen Police Department.

During the course of the crash investigation, officers were informed that the crash occurred as a result of the driver attempting to flee from the vehicle which was directly in front of his vehicle immediately prior to the crash, the news release stated.

A passenger in the vehicle in front of them held a firearm out of the window and shot at the victims’ vehicle, the news release stated.

The victim stated that he shifted the vehicle into reverse and struck a tree. The suspect vehicle left the area. The victims took off on to call police.

As of 11 p.m. on Saturday, there was no word of any suspects or arrests.
