Cassopolis man killed in early morning crash in Cass County, Michigan

A 43-year-old man died when his vehicle crashed into a tree in Cass County, Mich., just before 1 a.m. Wednesday morning, Dec. 23.

The man, who was from Cassopolis, Mich., was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was driving east on Dutch Settlement Road near Lawrence Road when his vehicle left the road and struck a large tree. He was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

Police are still investigating the cause of the crash. The man has not yet been identified.
