Marshall County Sheriff Thomas Chamberlin loses battle with cancer

Marshall County Sheriff Thomas G. Chamberlin has died after a battle with cancer.

Chamberlin passed away around 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at his home, according to WSBT.

His death came one night after family, friends and community members came together for a vigil in his honor at the courthouse in Plymouth, WNDU reported.

Chamberlin was diagnosed with cancer in November of 2014.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Johnson-Danielson Funeral Home in Plymouth.
