Blaze Pizza opening soon at Eddy Street Commons at Notre Dame

A new restaurant is moving into Eddy Street Commons in South Bend.

Blaze Pizza, a fast-casual pizza chain, is set to open at 1234 N. Eddy St., in the third week of July, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at Flavor 574

Similar to Chipotle, Blaze Pizza has more than 40 toppings, like peppers, mushrooms and pineapples, set out for customers to build their own 11-inch pizzas. There are also gluten-free and vegan options.

The restaurant will also have an outdoor eating area which will seat up to 60 people, Flavor 574 reports.

“If you think about it, there hasn’t been a good way to enjoy artisanal pizza without the wait,” Blaze Pizza president and COO Jim Mirez said in a news release. “Now there is. We believe this will be a game changer for the Notre Dame community.”
