Missing Mishawaka 16-year-old found

A Mishawaka teen has been discovered safe and sound.

Danielle Dickey, 16, of Mishawaka, was located by Mishawaka Police Department and St. Joseph County at 6:24 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at an address in St. Joseph County.

“She was perfectly healthy, happy,” Mishawaka Police Detective Brandon Ruth said in a phone interview Thursday evening. “She just didn’t want to go home.”

The Mishawaka Police Department Detective Bureau had asked the public for help Wednesday, April 8, stating in a press release that Dickey had been missing from her home since Tuesday, March 17, and that communication between Dickey and her family had ceased.

The Mishawaka Police Department thanks the public for their assistance.
