Another home burglary reported in Elkhart County over the weekend

Nine burglaries have been reported in Osolo Township in Elkhart County since summer 2014 and now police are warning homeowners to be on the lookout.

The latest break-in happened Saturday, March 21, in the 23000 block of Greenleaf Boulevard, between Marguerite Ave and Homeland Road, in Elkhart, according to a news release from the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Department.

The suspect got into the home through a window. Several valuables, including jewelry, were taken.

The sheriff’s department is increasing patrols in the area, according to the news release, and investigations continue into all nine burglaries.
