KALAMAZOO, Mich. (AP) — The 45-year-old suspect arrested in connection with a weekend rampage that left six people dead in western Michigan is due in court.

Jason Dalton of Kalamazoo County is expected to be arraigned Monday on murder charges.

Dalton was arrested without incident early Sunday morning after a massive manhunt.

Authorities say he shot eight people, six fatally, at an apartment complex, car dealership and Cracker Barrel restaurant.

Authorities could not say what they believed motivated him to target victims with no apparent connection to him or to each other in the Saturday night shootings.

Dalton is an Uber driver who police said had no previous criminal record. Police say they are investigating a Facebook post that indicated Dalton was driving for Uber during the manhunt and took at least one fare.
